7th Zhuhai Airshow Opens
The 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition is officially kicking off on Tuesday in Zhuhai Airshow Centre
 

Planes of Suryakiran, or Sun Rays in Hindi, an aerobatics demonstration team of the Indian Air Force, arrive in Zhuhai on October 31, 2008, to attend the 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Xinhua)

The 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition is officially kicking off on Tuesday in Zhuhai Airshow Centre in South China's Guangdong province.

This 6-day air show will last till Sunday.

The Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger jet, has landed at Zhuhai Airport and more than 60 passenger and military airplanes around the world will arrive in succession and be presented still and actable at the exhibition.

Jia Ke is the spokeman of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

"In the exhibition, we will comprehensively and systematically present our new techniques and equipments, especially to display the new weapon system."

At the exhibition, "the Chinese missile defense system concept" will be comprehensively displayed. A new set of Chinese missile equipment, including the SY 400 rocket-powered guided missile weapon system, will make its debut.

Compared with last sessions of the air show, the scale of this year's exhibition is unprecedentedly big and the organizer for the first time set up exhibition halls for aviation and aerospace equipments respectively.
