China Today Celebrates 60th Anniversary

China Today, an oldest comprehensive multi-language monthly magazine, celebrated its 60th anniversary in Beijing on February 10, 2012.

Originally titled China Reconstructs, China Today was founded by late Soong Ching-ling, wife of renowned revolutionary Sun Yat-sen, in January 1952.

The magazine consistently aims to truthfully and objectively report and present Chinese perspectives regarding all worldly matters. For 60 years, China Today serves as a window for people to learn about China, strengthening the friendship between China and other countries.

China Today

is printed in Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Readers around the world are acquainted with the magazine, particularly in Latin America and Arab countries. The magazine also has branch bureaus in Mexico City and Cairo.

Over 300 guests from China and abroad attended the event, including Han Qide, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhao Qizheng, Vice Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Cai Mingzhao, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Zhou Mingwei, President of China International Publishing Group, and Peruvian Ambassador to China Gonzalo Gutierrez Reinel.
