As one of the foremost mineral extracting and consuming countries, the involvement of China in the global mining industry cannot be ignored. More and more companies would like to establish businesses and cooperate with China, one of the largest buyers and investors worldwide, especially in mining and energy related fields.

The China Mining Congress and Expo, in its 13th year, is a platform to meet government representatives, mining companies and service providers from China and sixty other countries and regions.

Hosted by the Ministry of Land & Resources and the Tianjin Municipal Government, the 13th China Mining Congress & Expo 2011 will be held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Center on November 6-8, 2011. The theme is "Strengthen International Cooperation, Accelerate Geological Exploration & Mine Development."

As one of the largest mineral exploration and mining trading platforms, China Mining composes the entire value chain, including geological survey, exploration development, mineral rights trading, investment and financing, smelting and processing, techniques and equipment as well as services and further topics relevant to the global mining industry. The event plays a critical role in creating more communication and cooperative opportunities for domestic and international industrial communities.

Since the first time the event was held in 1999, the scope and influence has been extending every year. It has now become an annual not to miss event, and a platform for world mining players. Last year's event attracted more than 5,000 delegates from 60 countries and featured over 600 booths. First Vice President of the Republic of Peru Luis Giampietri Rojas, together with nine mining ministers from other countries attended the event. Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang gave the keynote address in the opening ceremony.

The event consists of three parts – conference, exhibition and coherent events. Nearly thirty plenary and breakout sessions will be arranged during the whole event, discussing mining finance and macroeconomy, outbound investment, mining commodities, prospecting and exploration, technology and equipment, sustainability and investment opportunities in various national forums.

There will be more than 400 exhibitors at the trade show area covering more than 650 booths. The dedicated China Mining Equipment Show, in its 6th year, is designed to be the largest and most professional mining equipment show providing a trade platform for equipment producers and buyers.
