Liaoning Jinzhou Development Zone

This zone includes Jinzhou Xihai Industrial Park and Huludao Beigang Industrial Park.

The Jinzhou Xihai Industrial Park has a planned development area of 22.76 square km and a gross investment of 737 million yuan. It is featured in the sub-industries of heavy chemicals and petrochemicals that include motor tool elements, medicine and production of containers.

Huludao Beigang Industrial Park has a planned development area of 21.87 square km and is divided into different zones, such as shipping and manufacturing zone (1.4 square km), port logistics zone (3.4 square km), integrated industry zone (12.07 square km) and light industry zone (5 square km). Ten projects have already been confirmed with an overall investment of 3 billion yuan. The focus of this park is shipping, manufacturing and fine chemical products.

Liaoning Yingkou Development Zone

It has a planned development area of 120 square km. This zone aims at fine chemical products, equipment manufacturing, micro-electronics, biological engineering, plastic products and the clothing industry.

Dalian Changxingdao Development Zone

It has a planned development area of 129.7 square km, including port area (21.1 square km), industrial park (71.7 square km), residential and tourism area (36.9 square km).

The infrastructure construction is expected to finish by the end of 2007. The main focus is equipment manufacturing, gas chemical industry, fine chemical products and export processing.

Dalian Huayuankou Development Zone

It has a planned development area of 50 square km. It is expected to host 400 enterprises and create 80,000 job opportunities by 2010. Twenty-three projects are underway, with seven in production and the remainder under construction.

This development zone mainly deals in hi-tech products, motor tool elements, fine chemical products, new energy and processing of agricultural products.

Liaoning Dandong Development Zone

It has a planned development area of 30 square km. The transportation network is almost finished. The main road is expected to open to traffic at the end of September. The construction of water supply, drainage, power and communication is about to start in succession.

This zone mainly deals in motor tool elements, electronic information, processing of agricultural products, chemicals and medicine, electric power and logistics.
