Four Israeli women writers' masterpiece novels were published by Anhui Literature and Art Publishing House on Wednesday.

The novels are Inland Lighthouse by Judith Katzir, With This Ring by Klil Zisapel, Weeping Susannah by Alona Kimchi, and A Collection of Stories by Orly Castel Bloom.

At a news conference for the publication of the novels, Avishay I. Gottdiener, an official on academics and news affairs with the Israeli embassy to China in Beijing, said Israel's current situation and rich ancient history provided a fruitful starting point for its writers. In recent years, the Israeli women writers' influence has become significant and now are an inseparable part of the mainstream.

He said the Israeli embassy has seen a great importance in bringing to the Chinese readers the Hebrew literature and hopes the literature can serve as wide bridge between the two ancient nations and a bridge that makes the two peoples understand each other in a better way and puts them closer to each other.
