Bu Feiyan
Share

Rising star Bu Feiyan specializes in wuxia, a fiction genre focusing on martial arts adventures set in ancient China. She has won numerous wuxia awards, including the Wen Rui'an Wuxia Award, the Huang Yi Wuxia Literature Prize and the Songshan Cup Wuxia Writing Contest.

Bu, whose work has been published in magazines and online in quantities of millions of Chinese characters, imbues her stories fantasy and new mythology, which gives them a strong narrative quality; And she writes with creativity and ornate language which make the works so literary. Combining these two elements together, Bu's novels attract not only teenagers but also people who have received higher education.

Bu was the first guest to appear on Gehui Dream World, a popular talk show on Hong Kong-based Phoenix Television, and she is also a spokesperson for the popular computer game The Legend of the Swordsman II (Jianxia Qingyuan II). Because her work is in such great demand, Bu has emerged as a model young writer.
