12 Provinces, Regions in W China Join Hands to Promote Tourism
Share

Twelve provinces and regions in western China will jointly develop their tourism market, according to an agreement reached at the ongoing First Western China Tourism Industry Expo in Chongqing.

The cooperation is to integrate tourist resources of each region and design more tour routes to attract more customers.

Well-known tourist companies of the 12 provinces and regions will jointly design campaigns to promote tourism. They will also engage in trans-regional business, according to the agreement.

Tourism enterprises will implement reforms by acquisition and purchasing.

China's tourism saw sharp decline due to the blizzard, the Sichuan earthquake and the global financial crisis last year.

Western China, which covers about seventy percent territory of the country, has about half of the country's topmost officially approved scenic spots.
