Vice Governor of south China's Hainan Province Ji Wenlin is now under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary and legal violations, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said on February 18.
Ji, 48, was appointed mayor of Haikou, Hainan's capital city, in February 2011 and was later promoted to the vice governor in January 2013. Ji was directly supervised by Guo Yongxiang, former Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, when they both worked for the Ministry of Land and Resources and the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Guo is also currently under investigation for suspected disciplinary violations. |
