Technicians inspect a substation in Gansu Province. A power transmission line connecting Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with other areas in northwest China, whose construction started in May 2012, was completed in June.
The 1,099-km line of 750 kilovolt, with an investment of 9.56 billion yuan ($1.5 billion), carries electricity from Xinjiang as well as Gansu and Qinghai provinces to the rest of the country. |
