Zhao Wei, also known as Vicki Zhao, an actress-turned director, has seen her debut production

So Young reaping a box office revenue of more than 700 million yuan ($114.2 million) on the mainland since its release on April 26. The film has been shown in Hong Kong since June 13.

Zhao, 37, gained nationwide popularity in 1998 for her starring role in the TV drama Princess of Pearl. She has since performed in many dramas and films, alongside several music album releases.
