Senior Chinese leader Zhou Yongkang stressed judicial justice here on Monday on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature.

Zhou Yongkang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, made the remarks when joining the panel discussion with lawmakers from northeast Heilongjiang Province.

Judicial work must meet the demand and expectation of the people and be focused on those problems closely tied to the people's interests, said Zhou.

He also called on to deepen the reform of the judicial system to maintain fairness and enhance efficiency.
