Top Chinese leaders including top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao joined panel discussions on Tuesday with the country's political advisors who are meeting for their annual full session in Beijing.

The discussions of political advisors, or members of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), were joined by CPPCC National Committee Chairman Jia Qinglin, and other senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leaders Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang and Zhou Yongkang.

All the eight leaders are in the nine-member Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the top decision-making body of the ruling party.

Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress, said the CPC Central Committee attaches great importance to multiparty cooperation and the work of the CPPCC.

Joining discussions of CPPCC members from China Democratic National Construction Association and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wu encouraged them to enhance the friendly cooperation with the CPC, work for their common goals, and contribute more to building a moderately prosperous society.

Premier Wen Jiabao, during discussions with members from the economic and agricultural circles, said the Chinese economy is witnessing more uncertain factors but still has room for further development.

Despite difficulties in judging the trend of economic development and making scientific decisions, China enjoys huge potentials for expanding domestic demand, readjusting economic structure, encouraging innovation and improving people's livelihood, he said.

Jia Qinglin, during a panel discussion with CPC members of the CPPCC, encouraged them to play an exemplary role in the political advisory body, be on good terms and seek cooperation with the non-Communist CPPCC members.

He told the CPC members to enhance understanding and expand common ground with the non-Communist personages.

During a discussion with members of the cultural and arts circles, Li Changchun called for the vigorous development and prosperity of socialist culture, which was put forward at the 17thCPC National Congress last October.

He urged the political advisors to deepen cultural restructuring, stimulate innovation, and enhance international competitiveness and influence of cultural industry.

Xi Jinping, who joined the group discussion of the medical and sports circles, called on the CPPCC members to boost the development and reform in medicine, healthcare and sports sectors.

He also encouraged them to contribute more suggestions for the country to host high-caliber Olympics and Paralympics with distinction.

Joining science workers, Li Keqiang said that building an innovative country is a major national strategic choice as China entered a new stage of development.

He called for enhanced capacity of independent innovation in every aspect of the modernization process.

He Guoqiang, joining panel discussions with political advisors from the China Democratic League and the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, reiterated China's determination in cracking down on graft and mapping out new regulations to prevent and curb corruption.

Zhou Yongkang stressed stability in ethnic regions while talking with CPPCC members of ethnic minorities. He called for full implementation of the guidelines concerning ethnic and religious work as well as the system of regional autonomy of ethnic minorities.
