The First Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's top political advisory body, will open at 3 p.m. Monday.

More than 2,000 CPPCC members will hear and discuss the report by Jia Qinglin, chairman of the 10th CPPCC National Committee, on the work of the CPPCC National Committee's Standing Committee, and the report by Zhang Meiying, vice chairperson of the 10th CPPCC National Committee, on how the suggestions and proposals from CPPCC members were handled since the last session.
