Tsenor, head of the Chinese mountaineering team and leader of the Chinese surveying team, summited Mount Qomolangma on the morning of May 27 along with seven other members.

It is the 36-year-old's fourth time on the summit. In 1998, Tsenor, then a student at China University of Geosciences, was selected as a substitute for an expedition to the top of the world for the first time. Ten years later, he participated in a victorious torch relay for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games on the peak.

With the data, scientists will perform comprehensive calculations. After data analysis and processing, they will carry out further theoretical studies and repeated verifications to determine the height accurately, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources.

It will take two to three months for scientists to calculate and release the exact height of Mount Qomolangma, according to the ministry.
