China National Petroleum Corporation (PetroChina), the nation's largest oil and gas producer, said on Thursday that its 2010 crude oil and gas output exceeded the equivalent of 200 million tonnes of oil.

Specifically, domestic oil production hit 1.05 trillion tonnes, while gas was 72.5 billion cubic meters. The total amounted to 163 million tonnes of oil equivalent, up 3.6 percent year on year.

Overseas oil production stood at 73.66 million tonnes, with gas reaching 10.5 billion cubic meters. The total was equal to 44.30 million tonnes of oil equivalent, up 14.4 percent year on year.

PetroChina discovered an additional 3.65 billion tonnes of oil reserves over the past five years, and gas discoveries were estimates at 2.1 trillion cubic meters.

Further, gas production maintained double-digit growth during the same period.

In addition, oil pipelines were extended by 27,000 km between 2006 and 2010.
