NCPA Honors 200th Birthday of Chopin
Share

In Beijing, the National Center for the Performing Arts is honoring Chopin with a series of activities marking the 200th anniversary of the maestro's birth.

There will be a concert series, mini performances, and an exhibition about the virtuoso pianist.

A clarinet player from Poland and a pianist from Chile performed duets of Chopin's works. They entertained visitors to the Chopin Photo Exhibition for its opening on May 15.

The exhibition informs people about the characteristics of Chopin's music, and the unique techniques of his work. The celebration of the poet composer will run until the year end. World renowned pianists will take the stage at the NCPA to interpret Chopin's works.
