Investing in the Future
It is encouraging to see that dozens of African countries has reserved booths and will send over 10 delegations

China will make the best of the Sino-Africa Development Fund and overseas economic and trade cooperation areas to help Chinese enterprises in their investment in Africa, especially investment in infrastructure, transportation, telecommunication, processing trade, and manufacturing industries. Agricultural development will also gain spotlight, and cooperation in tourism, banking, scientific and technological development, and environmental protection will  be accelerated.

Meanwhile, we will continue our aid to African countries, especially to their projects of social development and public welfare.

CIFIT may play its role in all these efforts by providing policy, law and information services, and brining more Chinese and African enterprises into the ranks devopted to promotion of Sino-African cooperation.

The global economic recession has held up the multinational corporations' willingness to invest and triggered further shrinkage in investment. What does CIFIT feature this year to promote FDI?

I agree with you. The trade fair has been affected by the crisis somewhat, but it can be regarded as an opportunity as well. The key issue is how to seize it and put it to best use.

To tide over the economic crisis, many countries and enterprises badly need funds and investments. They take international investment as a chief ramp to lead them out of the economic slump. Meanwhile, lots of newly created fund companies and investment bodies are looking for investment opportunities. All these are rare opportunities.CITIF comes to provide the right channel to learn the source of funding and the opportunity for investment.

Background

The China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place on September 8-11 every year in Xiamen, southeast China.
