Hallo dear traveller and welcome to the November issue of Africa Travel

In this issue we address a very real threat to tourism in Africa – Ebola. We put the disease in perspective and look at where in Africa it is found and what, if any danger at all, it holds for tourists to Africa. We also look at something else that could seriously hamper your vacation plans - the fear of flying. It is all too real and not that uncommon. About 25 percent of us experience some level of fear and one in 10 have a phobia about flying. Read our article about concurring this fear and let the sky be the limit!

On a less serious note, we appeal to your inner adventurer by taking you on a wonderful journey to the breath-taking country of Swaziland. Swaziland is lush. Green. Undulating. The people smile a lot and the unhurried pace of daily life makes you forget the frantic noise of the city very quickly. It is an independent, sovereign country in southern Africa almost entirely surrounded by South Africa apart from Mozambique to the east, and known for adventure excursions like caving, river rafting, zip-lining, cycling, quad biking and so much more.

For those of you coming to Johannesburg on business or leisure, we review the very fine Premier Hotel in Midrand, located about halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa. Recently completely renovated, the Premier Hotel Midrand has that brand new look, smell and feel and the ambience has a zen touch to it, yet with all the mod cons – a truly world class hotel.

We also have a chat with Johann Strydom, Managing Director for World Leisure Holidays and veteran of tourism, travel and management. He tells us about their fantastic hotels in Mauritius, unequalled when it comes to holidays of indulgence, escapism and excitement.

So enjoy this issue of Africa Travel and if you have any questions, suggestions or comments please email us at chinafrica1@hotmail.com

So until next time Bon Voyage!

Jo Kromberg
