Defending Asian Games champion China beat Mongolia 3-0 here on Sunday for its third straight win at the Guangzhou Asian Games Women's Volleyball Tournament.
"We were trying to solve the problems we had found from the 3-2 victory over Korea yesterday, I think we did a good job," said China Head Coach Yu Juemin.
16-year-old Yang Jie, who replaced veteran Li Juan to start as side spiker, scored 14 points to lead China to the 25-9, 25-13 and 25-8 victory in 56 minutes.
"Yang had a good match today, maybe she will get more opportunities in the next games," Yu added.
Middle blocker Ma Yunwen added 13 points for China while ace spiker Wang Yimei contributed nine before being rested in the third set.
China will play Thailand on Monday in a rematch of last year's Asian Championships final, in which the Chinese women suffered a stunning loss.
