National media regulators on Tuesday commended 41 news organizations and 143 journalists for their timely and transparent coverage of rescue and relief operations following the May 12 earthquake in Sichuan Province.
Among media organizations termed exemplary were the Editor-in-Chief's Office of the People's Daily, the News Center of CCTV, and the People's Liberation Army Bureau of Xinhua News Agency, according to a notice issued here.
