Taken on June 22 in Tianjin, this photograph captures a moment from Jian Shou (literally Hold On), a stage play inspired by the Sichuan earthquake. Jointly performed by the National Theater Company of China and Chengdu Arts Theater, the play highlights the tenacity of the Sichuan people through the story of a group of mountain villagers fighting to survive.
