Quality Control
A staff worker takes preserved fruits with quality problems off the shelves at a Laiyifen chain store in Shanghai Municipality on April 25. Some preserved fruits are exposed by CCTV to have used excessive additives in their processing. The Shanghai Government demanded an examination of all preserved fruits in chain stores, supermarkets, and Laiyifen outlets all over the city, and ordered not to sell products with quality problems. Some 7,800 kg of preserved fruit products removed from shelves as of 6 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, with more still under examination (XINHUA)
