Biomass Energy
Biomass Energy Workers transport waste from farmland and forests that will be used as raw materials to generate electricity at the Kaidi Green Energy Co. in Wuhe County, in east China's Anhui Province on February 7, 2012. Anhui set up eight biomass electricity generating projects in recent years, consuming 2 million tons of biomass fuels, equal to 1 million tons of standard coal equivalent. The efforts helped reduce pollution caused by disposal of agricultural wastes. The province's biomass electricity generating capacity is expected to reach 1 million kilowatts by 2015 (XINHUA)
