Workers lay rail tracks on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway in Suzhou, east China's Anhui Province, on August 18. The 1,318-km high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Shanghai is to put in use in 2012, shortening the travelling time to less than 5 hours from 10 (XINHUA)
