Racing against Time
Rescuers help evacuate villagers trapped by floods in Dizhou Village of Fuzhou City, central China's Jiangxi Province, on June 22. The heavy rains and floods ravaging 10 southern Chinese provinces had killed 199 people as of June 22; more than 29 million people had been affected, with 2.37 million evacuated, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
