New Mission
Frigate Zhoushan prepares to leave a naval base in Zhoushan Islands of east China's Zhejiang Province on July 16. A Chinese flotilla--two frigates and a supply ship with East Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy--departed Thursday to escort merchant vessels and to protect them from pirates in the Gulf of Aden, the third task force that China has deployed to the region since the end of last year (XINHUA)
