Art for Art Sake
A visitor walks past the design works by college students from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology at an exhibition gallery in 798 art zone in Beijing, on April 16, 2009. The 1950s-era factory zone, which has been transformed into a bohemian oasis with galleries, cafes, outdoor sculptures, and graffiti splashed on old factory walls, was officially announced as an off-campus training base for the city's higher education talents. Hundreds of on-campus art works, including photos, fashion designs and paintings, will be open to the public. (Xinhua)
