China, U.S. Start SED amid Financial Crisis
The fifth strategic economic dialogue (SED) between China and the United States kicked off in Beijing Thursday morning amid the deepening global financial crisis and the transition of the U.S. government. Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and the U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson co-chaired the dialogue as special representatives of President Hu Jintao and President George W. Bush. (Xinhua)
