Eco-Friendly Habits
A worker checks windows at a resettlement site in quake-hit Shifang City, Sichuan Province, June 22, 2008. Built by workers from Beijing, the houses, designed for a local social welfare center, were put into operation on that day. The complex features recyclable building materials and is equipped with energy-saving facilities. As the first 'permanent' reconstruction project in the quake zone, it can be used for as long as 30 years. (Xinhua)
