Freak rain lashed eastern and southern China for the past few days, causing several deaths and massive evacuations. Heavy rains were forecast for most parts of southern China over the next 10 days, and some regions will probably be hit by torrential rains, strong gales and thunderstorms, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said on Sunday.
