| Peking Opera Enters Classroom | | Students of the Kunqu hobby class perform in Daru Lujia Central Primary School in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, March 17, 2008. China's Ministry of Education announced on February 21 a pilot program to teach students in primary and secondary schools its traditional Peking Opera in 10 provinces and municipalities from March to July next year. As one of the pilot schools of the project, Daru Lujia School invited Peking Opera artists and fans to teach and perform this art for the students on the launching ceremony. (Xinhua) |
