Chongqing Starts Regular Press Conferences
Wen Tianping, a Chongqing government spokesman, met reporters from 46 news agencies, both domestic and foreign, November 15, 2007. Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, following Shanghai, launched its first regular press conference on the second Thursday of each month, as part of the country's efforts to improve "transparency " of government work at provincial levels.
