Sharing the Feelings with the Visually Handicapped People
The picture taken on October 11, 2007 shows students from Shangyou Primary School in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, walk on the blind pedestrian with their teacher's assistant to share the feeling of the blind or low-vision people as well as understand the importance of protecting eyes, ahead of the White Cane Safety Day. Declared on October 15, 1970, the White Cane Safety Day is to stimulate the general public to a better understanding of blindness and visual handicap, and to make people more aware of the white cane as a mobility aid.
