Wayne Wang's Film Wins Top San Sebastian Award
Hong Kong-born director Wayne Wang shows his award the best film "Golden Shell" for A Thousand Years of Good Prayers at the San Sebastian International Film Festival during the closure ceremony, September 29, 2007. The 58-year-old Wang, who may be best known for his 1990s films The Joy Luck Club and the critically acclaimed Smoke, based the screenplay for Thousand Years on Chinese writer's Yiyun Li's short stories about the lives of Chinese in China and in the United States.
