Several AIDS affected orphans sang together to give their thanks to the people who have helped them in a charity event held in Beijing, September 2, 2007. The China Charity Federation and the Chinese Society of Education jointly launched a charity event in Beijing. As one of the series of activities organized by the AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth (APEPCY), the event aims at collecting funds and raising public awareness. The APEPCY, with a mission of raising 100 million yuan in five years, was launched in December 23, 2006. The funds will be used to carry out special educational activities for AIDS prevention at 10,000 universities and colleges, vocational schools and secondary schools. (Xinhua)
