Zhou Chunxiu Made History in Osaka
The picture taken on September 2, 2007 shows Chinese marathon runner Zhou Chunxiu crossed the finishing line of the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, Japan. The 29-year-old Zhou, a surprise winner in this year's London Marathon, won a silver medal in 2:30:45. But a second place finish was enough to make history. Zhou was the first Chinese to win a medal at any Olympic or world championships marathons. Kenyan runner Catherine Ndereba, the 2003 world champion, won her second world title in 2:30:37. (Xinhua)
