The picture taken on September 2, 2007 shows Chinese marathon runner Zhou Chunxiu crossed the finishing line of the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, Japan. The 29-year-old Zhou, a surprise winner in this year's London Marathon, won a silver medal in 2:30:45. But a second place finish was enough to make history. Zhou was the first Chinese to win a medal at any Olympic or world championships marathons. Kenyan runner Catherine Ndereba, the 2003 world champion, won her second world title in 2:30:37. (Xinhua) |
