| Night Scene of Suzhou Classical Gardens | | The picture taken on July 11 shows a night scene at the Wang Shi Garden (the Master of the Nets Garden) in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The Garden has organized night tour in summer to attract visitors home and abroad. Suzhou enjoys a worldwide reputation for its delicate and classical gardens. Wang Shi Garden, together with Zhuozheng Garden (the Humble Administrator's Garden), Liu Garden (the Lingering Garden), and Huanxiu Mountain Villa (Villa with Embracing Beauty), exhibit a typical character of classical gardens in terms of structure, style, cultural attainment, aesthetics and arrangement of the furniture. For this reason they have been included in UNESCO's World Heritage List since the end of 1997. (Xinhua) |
