Touching the Terra-cotta Warriors
One of blind tourists from Japan visits the terra-cotta army by touching at the main hall of Xi'an Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horse Museum, Shaanxi Province, April 22, 2007. The first Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang initiated the installation of the army with more than 6,000 warriors, horses and chariots, because of his fear to face death. The construction began right after his accession to the throne more than 2,200 years ago. (Xinhua)
