Long Walk to Greet the Universiade
Bird view of 20,000 Shenzhen residents walking along the newly completed Shenzhen Bay highway bridge, Guangdong Province, April 15, 2007. The walking activity aims to greet the 26th summer Universiade that to be held in Shenzhen in 2011, and also to celebrate the completion of the bridge project. Two ends of the bridge, major part of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Western Corridor, jointed earlier in January 2006. The bridge has a length of 5.545 km, and is only take 10-15 minutes to drive across Shenzhen and Hong Kong. (Xinhua)
