Rare April Snow in the U.S.
A rare April snow covers daffodils April 11, 2007 at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. Since 1970, snows totaling three inches (7.6 cm) or more have occurred on only six occasions most recently on April 7, 2003. The heaviest of these storms has been a 10.7-inch (27.1 cm) accumulation April 1-2, 1970 and 10.5 inches (26.7 cm) on April 5-6, 1982. (Xinhua/AFP)
