The Great Fire Festival of Valencia
Las Fallas, the great fire festival of Valencia, occurs in March each year on the east coast of Spain, and is a hectic and noisy week that is full of fireworks and processions that are in honor of Saint Joseph. The fiesta attracts in the region of 2 million people each year. The large models on display can be as high as 4 meters and the highlight of the entire festival is when the figures are burnt.
