Russian scientist honored
On January 30, Samvel Samvelovich Grigorian makes an address in Moscow after receiving his Certificate of Foreign Members in the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Liu Guchang, China's ambassador to Russia, on behalf of the CAS made the presentation. Grigorian, world renowned for his work in glaciology and soil mechanics, participated in China's large-scale water conservation projects and made great contributions to the country's scientific and technological infrastructure.
