CRH Put into Operation
Known as "the bulletin train", the China Railway High-Speed Train (CRH) put into operation in Nanjing, the capital city of Jangsu Province, January 28, 2007. Modeled on the Japanese Shin-kan-sen, the CRH has a maximum capacity of 610 passengers and top speeds of 250 kilometers per hour. During the Spring Festival travel peak, the CRH will be put into operation on Shanghai-Nanjing, Shanghai South-Hangzhou as well as Guangzhou East-Shenzhen. (Xinhua)
