Russian director Vladimir Kott's Mukha received the Best Film award at the 11th Shanghai International Film Festival, which wrapped up on Sunday night.

Mukha is about a teenage schoolgirl and her father, who returns after years of absence.

The Best Director honor went to Maris Martinsons from Lithuania for Loss, which also won an award for Best Film Music.

Chinese director Gao Qunshu's Nick of Time scored two awards -- the jury award and Best Actor award for Ma Guowei's performance.

Emília Vásáryová was named Best Actress for her role in Czech director Jirí Vejdelek's Václav.

The annual Shanghai International Film Festival is among the major film events held in Asia. The nine-day festival this year has seen a wide range of forums attended by leading film personalities such as Zhang Ziyi and Wong Kar-Wai. More than 300 Chinese and foreign movies have been screened at the festival.
