Chinese superstar Jet Li is heading to Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, on Saturday morning to personally deliver the first batch of relief materials raised by his charity fund to the local Red Cross.

Li's organization, the One Foundation, donated one million yuan immediately after Monday's quake. Shortly after, Li launched a fundraising campaign which has so far collected 28.05 million yuan. A spokesperson of One Foundation said Thursday it had also sent a batch of volunteers to assist in relief efforts in the quake-hit Sichuan province.

The foundation plans to focus on preventing the spread of epidemics, reconstructing damaged areas and helping victims deal with the crisis psychologically.
