| Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend a summit meeting in Washington on the global financial crisis later this month, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Tuesday that President Hu Jintao will attend the G20 summit on financial markets and the world economy on November 15.
U.S. President George W. Bush had called for the meeting of the leaders of the Group of 20 largest developed and developing countries to find ways to deal with the current crisis.
Following the summit, President Hu Jintao will visit Costa Rica, Cuba and Peru. He will also attend the summit of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation on November 22-23 in Peru. President Hu will then pay a visit to Greece before flying back home.
