The Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation(SEF) chairman Chiang Pin-kun ended his four-day visit in the Chinese mainland and left Beijing for Taiwan at around 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

During his visit, Chiang met with his counterpart the Chinese mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait chairman Chen Yunlin, marking the two organizations' first talks after a suspension of nine years.

Hu Jintao, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Chiang Friday afternoon, saying the resumption of talks signaled a good start of the improvement and development of mainland-Taiwan relations.
