Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, presided over a group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on July 31 in Beijing. He stressed advancing the modernization of the national defense and armed forces at the meeting.
