At present, the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia is progressing in an all-round fashion. However, the epidemic is still in the spreading stage, and the concentration and allocation of resources, such as high-quality medical materials, is of utmost importance to the fight against the outbreak. At the same time, it is also necessary to ensure daily supply for the public.

The State Administration for Market Regulation launched regulations on price control, quality supervision and supply guarantee after the outbreak in late January. Nearly 2,000 enterprises, covering food, logistics and medical materials, have positively responded, promising to support the hard-hit areas as much as possible.

The institutional advantage of China's socialist system is the key to winning the battle against the epidemic, as it enables it to mobilize the necessary resources for big undertakings. Each part of society, including medical care, production and public security departments, must perform their duties. The supply of medical protective gear, in particular, should be guaranteed. This requires departments at all levels to resolutely implement the schedule of the Central Government and cooperate with each other, fulfilling their functions and responsibilities.

Under the threat of the virus, people's life has to continue, and their daily needs must be satisfied. Secured supply and stable prices are vital for daily life. At present, the country has sufficient reserves of grain, oil, meat, eggs and milk, as well as basic categories of vegetable.
