Hello and welcome to the 14th issue of Beijing Review.
(XINHUA) Standing Together looks at how President Xi Jinping’s visit to Europe has enlarged the Belt and Road circle and strengthened China-Europe ties. The three-country trip included participation in a global governance forum hosted by China and France. A Call for Economic Integration analyzes the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference and its aim to review ways to encourage economic growth and technological innovation while coping with the impacts of unilateralism. Since Asian countries account for much of global economic growth, the forum hopes to catalyze more actions for common development in Asia and beyond. Special Olympics, Special Heroes looks at the Special Olympics and how its young athletes with intellectual disabilities find confidence and independence through sports. Special education teachers build confidence in mentally disadvantaged students with patience and encouragement, along with involvement in sports activities to help them better integrate into society.
